Description
This program, administered by the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), provides funding to California cities and counties to implement or enhance beverage container recycling and litter cleanup activities. The goal is to help jurisdictions reach and maintain an 80% recycling rate for California Refund Value (CRV) beverage containers (aluminum, glass, plastic, and bi-metal), as well as to promote public education, infrastructure improvements, and regional collaboration to reduce litter and encourage recycling.
