Description
The California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) administers this competitive grant program to support projects that enhance beverage container recycling and reduce litter throughout California. Funding is available for local governments, public educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and qualifying tribal entities to implement or expand recycling infrastructure, community outreach, education, and litter reduction activities. Eligible projects include the purchase and installation of water refill stations, mobile water trailer bars, recycling bins, and associated educational materials or activities. The program aims to divert beverage containers from the waste stream and foster a culture of recycling statewide.
