Description
This program, administered by CalRecycle, provides competitive grants to support projects that expand beverage container recycling and reduce related litter across California. Funding is available for local governments, public educational institutions, qualifying non-profits, and tribal entities to implement or enhance recycling infrastructure, outreach, and education in settings such as multi-family residences, schools, parks, community events, and along the U.S.-Mexico border. Eligible projects include installing recycling bins, water refill stations, mobile water trailer bars, and conducting educational activities to foster sustainable recycling habits.
