Description
The Bial Foundation launched this grants programme in 1994 to encourage scientific research into the physical and mental processes of healthy human beings. It focuses on psychophysiology and parapsychology—fields the foundation describes as still largely unexplored but warranting further scientific analysis.
Supported work has examined sensory processing, perception, dreams, musical beat perception and reported paranormal experiences. The programme has drawn researchers from universities in Europe, the United States, Australia, Russia and Japan, among other places. The foundation publishes information about approved projects and publications arising from funded research.
