Description
Maryland Sea Grant’s biennial competition funds two-year research projects that advance knowledge and solutions in three core areas: healthy coastal ecosystems, sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, and resilient communities and economies. Projects must focus on Maryland’s coasts and watersheds, emphasize achievable outcomes within 24 months, and include robust plans for engaging and translating findings to relevant communities, resource managers, or policy-makers. The program encourages actionable science, community or management relevance, and interdisciplinary approaches, including social and natural sciences.
