Description
The Illinois Bicycle Path Grant Program provides financial assistance to eligible local government units to acquire land, construct new, or rehabilitate existing public, non-motorized bicycle paths and directly related support facilities (such as parking, lighting, benches, restrooms, and water supply) throughout Illinois. The program is designed to enhance public access to safe, well-designed bicycle paths, improve recreational opportunities, and encourage non-motorized transportation.
