Biocodex Microbiota Foundation’s 2027 France national research grant supports a fundamental or clinical project addressing intestinal microbiota and human health. The program operates under the auspices of the Société Nationale Française de Gastro-Entérologie (SNFGE) and the Groupe Francophone d’Hépato-Gastroentérologie et Nutrition Pédiatriques (GFHGNP). It is open to doctors and researchers working in France, including those still in training.
A jury of hepatogastroenterologists and pediatric gastroenterologists considers project quality, originality, feasibility within the funding available, and the applicant’s career needs. Selection is not restricted to highly ambitious projects by senior researchers requiring co-funding and prolonged studies. Previous awards have supported research on intestinal inflammation, Crohn’s disease biomarkers, alcohol misuse, and breast milk’s relationship with infant intestinal microbiota.
