Description
The Biocodex Microbiota Foundation’s Portugal call supports clinicians and researchers working in Portuguese scientific and technological institutions. The 2027 theme is “Intestinal microbiota: a new therapeutic target.” Projects must address this theme, with scientific merit, relevance and innovation central to selection. The programme supports research whose proposed methods, expected impact, schedule and budget are appropriate to the work.
An independent jury comprising the Foundation’s four-member Scientific Committee in Portugal selects the winning project. Assessment also considers the scientific merit and productivity of the principal investigator and research centre, including results from previous projects. The award includes obligations to report on the research, acknowledge the Foundation’s support and communicate the work through a non-confidential summary and a public presentation.
