Description
The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR), through its Biology Division, offers travel awards to help undergraduate researchers attend scientific meetings, present their biological research, and interact with primary researchers in their field. The program supports conference participation, including presentations of original biological research at discipline-specific regional or national meetings.
Presentations at discipline-specific meetings are preferred. Biological abstracts submitted to SACNAS, ABRCMS, AISES, or another meeting focused on underrepresented populations are also considered. Selection emphasizes the scholarly merit of the research abstract, the justification for attending the chosen conference, and the anticipated benefits of the conference experience.
