    Description

This grant supports research and innovation projects that accelerate Sweden's transition to a fossil-free and resilient bio-based economy. Projects should focus on either primary production (agriculture, forestry, fisheries, aquaculture) or industrial processes using bio-based raw materials. The aim is to reduce fossil dependence, increase circularity, and strengthen the resilience of bio-based systems against disruptions such as climate change, resource scarcity, and supply chain challenges. Active business sector participation is required, and cross-sectoral, interdisciplinary collaborations are strongly encouraged. The program is part of the broader Biosociety initiative, which promotes a resource-efficient, competitive, and self-sufficient Swedish bioeconomy.
