--- ## Description This grant opportunity is designed for Black-led nonprofit organizations serving predominantly Black communities within Greater Philadelphia. The program aims to strengthen grantees’ organizational capacity, program delivery, operations, and governance. Funding is unrestricted, allowing awardees to apply funds toward operating support or specific organizational needs, with the goal of advancing equity and leadership within the region’s Black communities. --- ## Due Dates - June 2026 (anticipated full application deadline) *All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates.* --- ## Funding Amount - Grants range from $5,000 to $100,000, based on organizational operating needs. - The maximum grant cannot exceed 10% of the organization’s annual operating budget (e.g., an organization with a $35,000 budget could receive up to $3,500). - Grants are for a single year and are typically paid in a single disbursement. - Funding is unrestricted and may be used for general operating support or specific organizational initiatives. --- ## Eligibility Organizations must meet all of the following criteria: - 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. - At least one full fiscal year of financial data (organizations less than three years old must provide a board-approved strategic plan or logic model). - Located in and serving Greater Philadelphia (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties in PA; Burlington and Camden counties in NJ). - Black-led: Chief executive or board chair identifies as Black, with demonstrated commitment to Black inclusion and leadership. - Serve predominantly Black communities (at least 51% of those served are Black). - Commitment to strengthening programs, operations, and governance for Black communities. - Board-approved non-discrimination policy covering all organizational activities. - No familial relationships across board and staff (to avoid conflicts of interest). - Must have at least an interim executive in place if in leadership transition. - Churches need not have 501(c)(3) status but cannot fund programs that exclude non-members or involve proselytizing. - Childcare services are not eligible for funding. - Technical assistance resources are available for applicants. --- ## Application Process 1. **Determine Eligibility**: Review all criteria to ensure your organization qualifies. 2. **Apply**: Complete the application during the open cycle (anticipated June 2026).
