Description
The Black Mountain-Swannanoa Valley Endowment Fund supports charitable projects that benefit communities and residents of the Swannanoa Valley. Administered by the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina (CFWNC), the fund seeks to improve local quality of life, promote charitable giving, and strengthen organizations serving the valley. Requests demonstrating the greatest community benefit receive the highest consideration.
Established in 1999, the fund provides a permanent charitable resource for changing local needs and opportunities. Its grants support a broad range of charitable purposes rather than a single research field. Recent awards have supported food access, health care, mental health services, educational experiences, home repairs, rental assistance, and afterschool care.
