Description
Oregon Community Foundation’s Black Student Success Capacity Building Grants strengthen Black-led, Black-serving organizations across Oregon. Created in response to feedback from the Black Student Success Network, the program helps organizations continue serving Black children and families while increasing their impact. It supports stronger governance, operations, leadership, community relationships, and long-term organizational resilience.
Funding can support strategic planning, leadership development, technology improvements, revenue diversification, succession planning, and financial reserves planning. It also supports culturally sustaining educational practices, expanded or stabilized out-of-school programs, and strategic collaborations. Partnerships may pool resources, develop culturally relevant curricula, pursue research, or address systemic educational barriers collectively. The goal is to build organizations that can sustain their work beyond a single funding cycle.
