Description
The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) funds exceptionally novel, high-risk, high-reward projects through its Research Innovation Award. The program seeks breakthroughs in understanding bladder cancer and upper tract urothelial carcinoma, rather than incremental advances. Projects may involve basic, translational, clinical, or epidemiological research and must be directly relevant to one or both diseases.
Applicants must bring an innovative approach to an important problem or critical barrier to progress and address a significant knowledge gap. New theoretical concepts, methodologies, instrumentation, and interventions are among the approaches the program welcomes. BCAN encourages investigators from other areas of cancer or biomedical and health science research to apply approaches relevant to bladder cancer.
