Description
The Massachusetts Boating Infrastructure Grant (MA-BIG) Program provides federal funding, through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Sport Fish Restoration Program, to support the construction, renovation, and maintenance of facilities for transient recreational boats 26 feet or longer. The program operates two tiers: Tier I for smaller, state-level projects (e.g., moorings, buoys, bathrooms) and Tier II for larger, nationally competitive projects (e.g., new docks, expanded marina facilities). All projects must comply with federal and state criteria and are subject to permitting.
