Description
The BOFIT Visiting Researchers programme enables academics and researchers to conduct research at the Bank of Finland Institute for Emerging Economies in Helsinki. It supports work that complements BOFIT’s research and enhances its research profile, with particular interest in macroeconomic and financial topics concerning emerging markets, especially China, Russia, India, Ukraine, and Turkey.
Projects on institutional development in emerging economies are also welcome, as is economic research on global trade, capital flows, and economic integration. BOFIT values well-developed, realizable research objectives that can be pursued during the visit. Joint projects and interaction with regular BOFIT staff are highly appreciated, and visitors are encouraged to participate in BOFIT seminars, Bank of Finland Research Unit seminars, and other research events.
