The BOFIT Visiting Researchers programme offers academics and researchers the opportunity to conduct research at the Bank of Finland Institute for Economies in Transition (BOFIT) in Helsinki. The programme is designed for scholars whose work relates to macroeconomic and financial topics concerning emerging markets, with particular emphasis on China, Russia, India, Ukraine, and Turkey. Projects on institutional development in emerging economies, global trade, capital flows, and economic integration are also encouraged.
Selected Visiting Researchers are expected to actively participate in BOFIT’s research activities, present their work in seminars, and contribute to the institute’s Discussion Paper Series. The programme provides office space, access to data resources and libraries, and support for integration into the BOFIT research community.
