Description
The Bradley Henry Barnes and Leila Upson Barnes Memorial Trust, administered by Main Street Community Foundation, supports the health and well-being of residents of Southington, Connecticut. Established by the late Bradley Henry Barnes of Southington, the Trust funds 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving that community. It accepts new-project requests for programs, capital needs, and community initiatives, as well as continued funding requests for work it already supports.
The Trust’s priorities center on community health and healthcare, including the needs of an aging population, behavioral health, and healthy lifestyles. Supported work includes access to healthy food, environmental protection, fitness, health equity, health literacy, and access to health services. Although the Foundation serves six Connecticut communities, this Trust specifically benefits Southington residents.
