Funding Amounts: Generally up to $125,000 per year for up to three years; existing-data-only studies request less than $100,000 for 1–1.5 years

Description
The Brady Education Foundation funds Research Project (RP) and Existing Program Evaluation (EPE) proposals aimed at improving cognitive, achievement, and learning outcomes for children from birth through age 18. It is particularly interested in strength-based work that can inform future educational research, practice, philanthropic giving, or public policy, including work relevant to children in underserved groups and low-resourced communities.
RP grants support developmental or educational research, such as measurement development, studies of factors associated with achievement, research on strengths families bring to learning, and policy studies. EPE grants primarily assess whether programs improve children’s outcomes; they may also examine who benefits, under what conditions, why effects occur, or how costs compare with benefits. The Foundation favors collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and community stakeholders and evaluations of programs with potential to be implemented at scale.
