Description
The HMS Foundation Funds Program coordinates limited-submission foundation funding opportunities for faculty at Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and HMS-affiliated hospitals. Its opportunities include grants, fellowships, scholars programs, and awards supporting neuroscience, breast cancer, basic biomedical research, bioethics, translational cancer research, biomedical science and engineering, medical education, and efforts to reduce inequality in youth healthcare.
Each foundation award has its own research focus and faculty eligibility rules. The internal application and nomination process selects candidates for foundation competitions; some HMS nominees also proceed to a Harvard-wide competition through the Office of the Vice Provost for Research. Applicants may seek multiple awards when eligible, but must submit a separate, relevant proposal for each.
