Description
The Oncology Nursing Foundation funds this initiative through a grant from AstraZeneca HealthCare Foundation to increase breast cancer awareness in communities. It supports qualified ONS Chapters across the United States in planning and implementing nurse-directed educational programs for patients and community audiences.
The emphasis is on community education rather than research or work-based educational activities. Applicants describe the proposed activity, identify the chapter member responsible for it, and explain how both funding organizations will be recognized.
