Description
The Bridge Funding Award from the American Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Foundation (AAOGF) is designed to stabilize and support the research of promising physician-scientists in obstetrics and gynecology who are experiencing a temporary lapse in independent research funding (e.g., R01 or equivalent not renewed). The program aims to maintain ongoing research productivity, retain essential research personnel, and help investigators become competitive for future independent extramural funding. Emphasis is placed on supporting academic physician-investigators, especially those from underrepresented groups, with research focused on critical issues in obstetrics, gynecology, women’s health, and particularly on basic or translational aspects of gamete, embryo, ovarian, or uterine biology relevant to assisted reproductive technologies.
