Description
Bronco PI Lab is a mentorship-based professional development program run by Western Michigan University’s Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) for pre-tenured faculty. It helps participants strengthen their research, innovation, and creative scholarship through individualized mentoring, shared learning, career networks, and professional skill development. ORI pairs each participant with an external mentor in their field to develop a strategic plan addressing short- and long-term goals.
Participants receive workshops on prospecting and grant writing, connections with peers across the university, and priority access to Hanover Research for proposal review or revision as part of their strategic plan. The program supports the pursuit of external funding and projects for publication or display, with preference for work aligned with current or forecasted federal funding priorities.
