Description
This award supports research on Friedreich’s ataxia (FA) that fundamentally depends on collaboration between investigators from at least two different institutions. The intent is to foster synergistic, multi-institutional, and preferably international partnerships that can achieve research objectives not possible by a single group. Special emphasis is placed on projects that introduce new scientists to the FA research community or establish international collaborations. Only one award is made per year, and proposals must convincingly demonstrate why the collaborative approach is necessary and how the combined expertise will accelerate progress in FA research.
