    Description

The Brother Thomas Fund and Fellows Program, administered by The Boston Foundation, is a biennial fellowship that recognizes and supports a diverse cohort of Greater Boston artists who have demonstrated a high level of excellence in their creative fields. Established in 2007 to honor the legacy of Brother Thomas Bezanson, a renowned ceramic artist and Benedictine monk, the program aims to provide transformative, unrestricted awards to artists at pivotal moments in their careers. Fellows are selected from a wide range of disciplines—including visual, performing, literary, media, and craft arts—through a rigorous panel review process. The award is intended to enhance recipients’ ability to thrive, create new work, expand their professional networks, and increase their visibility within the arts community.
