Description
The Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program, managed in Mississippi by the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), funds projects that enhance community resilience to natural hazards such as floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, and other disasters. The program prioritizes large-scale, high-impact infrastructure improvements that reduce risk, strengthen public infrastructure, and promote adoption of modern hazard-resistant building codes. BRIC encourages innovative, cost-effective projects and partnerships across local, state, and tribal levels, with the goal of proactively addressing vulnerabilities before disasters occur.
