Description
The Burney Regional Community Fund is a community-advised fund of the Community Foundation of the North State. It provides general support for a broad range of local needs rather than focusing on a single subject or project type. Its service area follows the boundaries of the Fall River Joint Unified School District, encompassing Burney, Cassel, Fall River Mills, Hat Creek, McArthur, and Old Station.
The fund was established with a seed gift from Pattern Energy Group LLC, the company responsible for the Hatchet Ridge Wind Farm. Alongside meeting immediate community needs, it seeks to build a lasting community of philanthropists in the region. Eligible nonprofits, public entities, and fiscally sponsored projects can seek support for work benefiting these communities.
