Description
The Climate + Health Excellence (CHEX) Centers program, funded by the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, aims to catalyze the development of institutional or consortial centers of excellence at the intersection of climate change and human health. This opportunity is intended for U.S. and Canadian research and educational institutions or consortia that have already demonstrated significant commitment and capacity in this space. CHEX supports interdisciplinary research, education, and public communication efforts that address the health impacts of climate change, foster stable collaborations across fields, and translate scientific discovery into practical interventions and public understanding. Proposals should integrate either a strong education or public communication component and include a substantial training element for post-graduate and graduate students, though this should not exceed 20% of the budget.
