Key Information: Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens with an already-funded postdoctoral position; this is not a research or salary grant.
The Burroughs Wellcome Fund’s Postdoctoral Enrichment Program (PDEP) supplements the training of junior scientists whose research is already supported. It funds career development and enrichment activities, including workshops, courses, travel, collaborations, new research techniques, mentoring, and participation in a peer network. The program seeks to enhance postdoctoral training and promote equal access to advancement opportunities in biomedical and medical science.
PDEP supports foundational, curiosity-driven biological and biomedical research, with mentorship central to fellows’ professional development. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to equal access and opportunity through their activities, background, and life experiences. A partnership with the Charles H. Revson Foundation supports additional fellows at New York metropolitan-area institutions, designated BWF PDEP/Revson Scholars, who participate in the core program with additional Revson engagement.
