Description
Bush Prize: South Dakota is administered by the South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) in partnership with the Bush Foundation. It celebrates organizations highly valued by their communities for transformational impact through creative solutions. The program honors organizations that consistently engage and lead their communities, provides flexible support to continue their work, and helps amplify their stories to inspire others.
The prize recognizes meaningful, lasting change through approaches that are more effective, equitable, or sustainable than existing solutions. Selection emphasizes a history of innovation, strong leadership, deep community roots, and work that can inform or serve as a model for others. Rather than supporting only a specified project, awards can strengthen ongoing work, build reserves, or help organizations test their next big idea.
