Description
The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) administers Business Attraction Prime Sites, a competitive, state-funded capital grant program for companies relocating to or expanding operations in Illinois. The program supports large-scale capital investment tied to significant job creation for Illinois residents, with awards calculated through job-based formulas and qualifying tax credit programs.
Eligible projects may include new construction or renovation of industrial and commercial facilities, associated infrastructure improvements, and the purchase and installation of durable equipment. Construction or renovation of warehouse facilities is not eligible. Funding originates from Rebuild Illinois capital funds, and expenditures are subject to the state’s bondability guidelines. The program focuses on industries identified in the 2024 Illinois Economic Plan.
