The Business Builds: Life Sciences program, administered by the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC), is designed to catalyze the growth and expansion of biomanufacturing and medtech advanced manufacturing in Massachusetts. The program provides capital funding for facility buildouts, renovations, and equipment purchases, with an emphasis on projects that deliver significant public benefits—such as workforce training, access for local small businesses, and collaborations with nonprofit organizations. Projects must demonstrate how they will strengthen the Massachusetts life sciences ecosystem, generate new jobs, and contribute to the Commonwealth’s economic and community development.
