Description
Business in Our Sites (BOS) helps Pennsylvania communities build an inventory of ready sites to attract growing and expanding businesses. Administered through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA), the program provides grants and loans for acquiring and preparing properties for future business use. It supports speculative development rather than projects with a business or specific facility user already committed to the site.
The program covers previously utilized properties and undeveloped land planned and zoned for development. Eligible work includes infrastructure, demolition, land preparation, environmental assessment and remediation, and related site-development services. The central goal is to bring properties to shovel-ready condition, with consideration given to community economic needs, site marketability, employment opportunities, and regional development impact.
