Description
The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA) administers this Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program opportunity using FFY23/24 federal funds. It supports local implementation of Firearm Restraining Orders (FROs), civil orders allowing temporary firearm removal when someone poses a potential danger to themselves or others. The program emphasizes state’s attorney’s offices and their connections with domestic violence, veterans’, and mental health courts.
