The Danielle Parks Memorial Fellowship, administered by the Cyprus American Archaeological Research Institute (CAARI), supports graduate students who need to work in Cyprus to advance research relevant to the island’s archaeology and culture. Applications are especially invited from students studying Hellenistic and Roman Cyprus. The award helps cover travel to Cyprus and living expenses during the research stay.
Established following Danielle Parks’s death as a young scholar in 2007, the fellowship aims to open the world of Cypriot culture to young scholars. Parks authored The Roman Coinage of Cyprus and directed excavations at the Amathus Gate Cemetery. She first visited Cyprus as an Anita Cecil O’Donovan Fellow. Recipients join CAARI’s residential research community in Nicosia and share their research through a presentation and a newsletter report.
