The Edgar J. Peltenburg Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Cypriot Prehistory is an annual fellowship offered by the Cyprus American Archaeological Research Institute (CAARI) in honor of the late Professor Edgar Peltenburg. It provides a stipend for research on Cyprus from its first visitors to the transition to the Iron Age. Scholars of all nationalities and ages may apply, with priority given to early-career candidates.
The fellowship places researchers within CAARI’s academic community in central Nicosia, an institute devoted to the archaeology, history, and culture of Cyprus and the eastern Mediterranean. Fellows are expected to participate actively in that community and contribute research-related and/or outreach events.
