The TSHP Research and Education Foundation’s CAB Bond Memorial Research Grant assists hospital and health-system pharmacist practitioners, students, and faculty pursuing original research and worthwhile projects that improve health outcomes for Texans. It honors Chester A. “CAB” Bond, a pharmacy educator and scholar whose research linked pharmacist-provided clinical services with health and fiscal outcomes, including hospital costs, medication errors, and adverse effects.
The program prioritizes research-oriented projects that follow the scientific method and produce reportable outcomes. Non-research projects may also receive support based on their contribution to professional and public benefit. All projects must align with the Foundation’s mission and objectives. Funding supports qualified direct expenses and may supplement project support from the applicant organization or other parties.
