Description
This opportunity provides project-based grants to artists and cultural workers in California who are engaged in alternative efforts outside of traditional nonprofit and for-profit arts systems. CALI Futures aims to uplift projects focused on income, ownership, care, and mutual support, emphasizing collective and systemic approaches to creating more equitable and sustainable arts ecosystems. The fund supports a wide range of activities, from ideation and research to implementation and reflection, with a focus on work that addresses challenges not solved by conventional arts sector models and that has transformative potential for the broader community.
