Description
CALI Futures is a competitive grant program administered by the Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI) to uplift California-based artists and cultural workers who are advancing alternative models for sustainability, belonging, and self-determination in the arts. The program is designed for individuals and teams working outside conventional nonprofit and for-profit systems, particularly those focused on income, ownership, mutual care, and systemic approaches that foster financial stability and creative ownership. CALI Futures funds projects at all stages—from ideation to research, implementation, and reflection—that aim to address challenges not solved by traditional arts sectors and to transform creative livelihoods and communities.
