Description
The California Community Reinvestment Grants (CalCRG) program is administered by GO-Biz under the Adult Use of Marijuana Act. It funds local health departments and qualified community-based nonprofit organizations serving communities disproportionately affected by past federal and state drug policies, also called the War on Drugs. Supported activities include job placement, mental health and substance use disorder treatment, system navigation, legal services addressing barriers to reentry, and connections to medical care.
The program aims to advance health, wellness, and economic justice. Its guiding principles emphasize responsiveness to affected communities, approaches grounded in science and data, openness to innovation, whole-person trauma-informed care, and accountability to taxpayers and stakeholders.
