Description
The California Energy Commission (CEC) funds this solicitation through its Electric Program Investment Charge (EPIC) Program, administered by the Energy Research and Development Division. It supports applied research and development that informs California’s transition to an equitable, zero-carbon electricity system resilient to climate and wildfire risks.
Projects will develop open climate data and analytical resources, demonstrate their use in electricity-sector policy and planning, or build a framework for comparing utility and non-utility wildfire mitigation strategies. The work is intended to benefit California investor-owned utility ratepayers and advance approaches that help overcome barriers to the state’s energy goals.
