Description
The California Energy Commission (CEC) is offering a competitive grant through California’s National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program. Administered by its Fuels and Transportation Division and Federal EV Infrastructure Programs, the solicitation supports the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of public direct-current fast-charging stations along designated Alternative Fuel Corridors. Its purpose is to expand dependable, high-powered charging for people traveling in light-duty electric vehicles.
Projects must use commercially available technology at previously disturbed or developed sites. Stations must remain open to the public around the clock and serve corridor travel rather than a restricted customer base. The CEC collaborates with Caltrans on California’s NEVI deployment.
