Key Information: Positions are contingent on completion of the PhD.
Caltech’s Computing + Mathematical Sciences (CMS) Department offers postdoctoral positions in a multidisciplinary research environment spanning Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Communication & Networks, and Control & Systems. Positions are sponsored by individual faculty, research groups, and cross-cutting research centers, combining research with postdoctoral training.
CMS typically hosts more than 20 postdoctoral scholars and manages applications for five fellowship programs: Computing, Data, and Society Fellows; the Center for Mathematics of Information; Computational Mathematics and Applications; Decision, Optimization, and Learning at Caltech; and the Linde Postdoctoral Fellowship in Economics and Computation. Many of these programs recruit multiple scholars. Postdoctoral scholars may also choose to teach a course with departmental permission.
