Description
The Center for Khmer Studies (CKS) provides research fellowships to Cambodian scholars across all disciplines in the social sciences and humanities. Projects may focus on Cambodia itself or examine Cambodia within a comparative regional or wider international context. The regional scope includes Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, and southern China, with at least some research undertaken in Cambodia.
Funded by individual donors, the program supports PhD holders through Senior Research Fellowships and current doctoral students through Dissertation Research Fellowships. Fellows receive direct research funding, access to CKS resources, and in-country logistical support and contacts. Senior fellowships offer both long-term and short-term research options.
