    Description

The Cambridge Africa Climate Collaborative Research Fund supports new and existing research collaborations between Africa and the University of Cambridge, alongside high-quality research-related training. Climate resilience and sustainability are interpreted broadly, but applications must explain their relevance. All disciplines are welcome, including sciences, social sciences, humanities and arts, with particular encouragement for innovative, multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary work.

The fund forms part of the Africa Climate Collaborative, a partnership between the Mastercard Foundation, the University of Ghana, Makerere University, the University of Cape Town and the University of Cambridge. Its goal is to empower young Africans to lead climate-resilient and sustainable futures through research, innovation and skills development. Supported by a £7.7 million Mastercard Foundation investment, the fund runs from 2025 to 2030.
