Description
The Cambridge-Africa ALBORADA Research Fund supports new and existing research partnerships between Cambridge and Africa, alongside high-quality training and engagement activities. Run through the University of Cambridge’s Cambridge-Africa Programme, it welcomes applications across all academic subject areas and from partners in any African country. The fund was established in 2012 with support from The ALBORADA Trust.
The fund acts as a catalyst for new research and subsequent joint funding applications. Priority goes to new partnerships, or expanded existing partnerships, with potential for long-term collaboration. Projects should ideally strengthen the research capacity of the African researcher or institution. Partners must co-create their projects and demonstrate genuine collaboration, rather than one institution simply providing services for the other.
