Description
The Canada Impact+ Research Training Awards (CIRTA) provide substantial doctoral scholarships to Canadian universities, including UBC, to recruit outstanding prospective and incoming PhD students who are currently outside Canada and not affiliated with a Canadian institution. The program is designed to attract top international talent to conduct research in priority areas such as advanced digital technologies, health, clean technology, environment, food and water security, democratic resilience, manufacturing, and defence technologies. Recipients are selected through a faculty nomination process and must adhere to strict Government of Canada research security requirements, including the termination of affiliations with certain foreign organizations if applicable.
