The Canada Research Training Awards Suite – Research Travel Supplements (CRTAS-RTS) offers supplemental funding to graduate students holding active Tri-Agency (CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC) master’s or doctoral awards. The program aims to offset costs associated with research-related travel, either within Canada or internationally, for a defined period (2–6 months). By supporting research mobility, the program fosters advanced training, research skills development, and international collaboration among the next generation of Canadian researchers. CRTAS-RTS replaces the previous Canada Graduate Scholarships – Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplement (CGS-MSFSS).
