Description
The Cancer Consortium Pilot Award supports cancer-related pilot research through the Fred Hutch/University of Washington/Seattle Children's Cancer Consortium. Funded by Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) funds and philanthropic donations, the program encourages highly innovative concepts with potential to improve cancer patients’ lives. Research topics are unrestricted beyond a cancer focus, and proposals should establish a new project or research direction that generates preliminary data for external funding.
Non-interventional cross-disciplinary research is a donor-directed area of special interest. This category supports new collaborations addressing clinically relevant questions and improving adult oncology care. Across the competition, collaborations between established and early-career investigators are viewed favorably, and proposals without preliminary data are encouraged.
