The Capacity Building Fund at The Denver Foundation is designed to help nonprofits in the seven-county Metro Denver region enhance their organizational effectiveness. The fund supports projects that build new skills and provide learning opportunities for staff, constituents, or board members, focusing on developmental activities rather than passive services or purchases. Eligible projects include strategic planning, governance, fund development, communications, cybersecurity, policy and advocacy, evaluation tool development, inclusiveness and racial equity, scenario planning, and resident engagement. Grants are intended to foster organizational growth and change through active collaboration with consultants or technical assistance providers.
