Description
The Community Foundation of Sarasota County’s Capacity Building Grants invest in the people, systems, and infrastructure that help local nonprofits fulfill their missions. The program supports inward-facing organizational improvements rather than direct community programs and services. Its goal is to strengthen internal capacity, resilience, and long-term sustainability while helping organizations prepare for a changing economic landscape.
Supported work includes executive coaching, staff training, board development, strategic planning, facilitation, and consulting. Nonprofits may also improve data systems, develop evaluation frameworks, strengthen fundraising strategies, or obtain financial expertise for budgeting and long-term planning. Requests must align with at least one of the program’s five priorities: leadership development, strategic planning, evaluation and learning, fundraising capacity, or financial health and sustainability.
