Description
Virginia Housing’s Capacity Building Grants help localities and housing partners strengthen the operations, processes and resources behind their affordable housing work. The program supports strategic plans that set priorities and align staff and stakeholders, succession management plans that prepare personnel for key roles, and training and educational tools that help organizations use current practices and innovations.
Training topics may include board development, financial soundness, fundraising, policies and procedures, program design, marketing, technology, and volunteer and community engagement. Most Virginia Housing grants are funded through REACH Virginia, which draws on a significant portion of the organization’s net revenues each year.
