This scholarship program is designed to develop future leaders in ethics within the field of cardiothoracic (CT) surgery by supporting formal education in biomedical ethics. Applicants may use the funding to attend established programs at leading North American ethics centers, such as Baylor College of Medicine, Harvard University, Georgetown University, Cleveland Clinic, University of Washington, Yale, and others. Recipients are expected to engage in ethics-related activities within CT surgery organizations, advancing a culture of ethical awareness and leadership in the specialty.
