This scholarship is designed to foster the next generation of leaders in cardiothoracic surgical ethics by supporting early and mid-career cardiothoracic (CT) surgeons and trainees in obtaining formal education and training in biomedical ethics. Awardees may use the scholarship to attend established bioethics programs at leading North American centers, covering tuition and related costs. Recipients are expected to participate in ethics-related activities within CT surgery organizations and contribute to advancing ethics education in the specialty.
